Italian school headmaster resigns over Christmas

63-year-old Marco Parma, headmaster of Garofani school in Rozano near Milan has been forced to resign after he cancelled all Christmas festivities so as not to hurt non-Christians and non-religious sensibilities. He proposed a January 21st non-religious 'winter concert' instead.

His indulgent political correctness however backfired after he came under fire from the prime minister and even Muslim parents. Italy's prime minister, Matteo Renzi (pictured above) who labelled the move a "big mistake" said:

The whereabouts of a 26-year-old youth, Waidi Kabiru, had been a mystery since Sunday, November 23, after he was reportedly whisked away from the custody of the Igbogbo Police Station, Lagos State, by a three-man gang.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the three gang members, who put on masks, had sneaked into the station around 1am on Sunday and bundled him out of the cell to an unknown place.

It was learnt that Waidi, a musician, was arrested by a team of policemen who raided Shelewu Road, in the Ikorodu area of the state on Friday, November 21.

British mother hopes to be ISIS first female suicide bomber

A mother-of-two from Britain who is known as 'Mrs Terror' has hinted she may become ISIS' first female suicide bomber.

Muslim convert Sally Jones - whose extremist husband was killed in an American drone strike - indicated she was planning on blowing herself up after paying tribute to the first female Chechen suicide bomber.

Burna boy, has opened up on why he does not consider himself a part of the Nigerian music industry.According to him,there is too much politics.
Speaking to The Fader magazine, he said:

He said, “It’s political, man. To be honest, I don’t really feel like I’m a part of the industry. Check out awards, I don’t get awards because the powers that be don’t really like me. I’m not like everyone else; I won’t do what everyone else does. They don’t like
it.Everything is really political, too much politics in the industry and I’m not a very good politician.
So I don’t really involve myself in all that. I just drop hit songs, and my fan base keeps increasing.“If I was a part of the industry then I wouldn’t have shit today. Think about it. It would just be one of the songs you hear in the club and then that’s it.“But right now, you see, I don’t have the most Twitter followers or the most Instagram numbers or whatever, but the things that I do the people with one million followers can’t do it.”

In a deliberate attempt to support local economy and wealth creation, Aliko Dangote has promised to construct a 500 megawatt power plant for Kano, Jigawa, Kaduna and Katsina States. The Chairman and CEO of Dangote Group of Companies made the pledge through his representative, Engineer Mansur Ahmed, the executive director stakeholders management, at the 36th Kano Trade Fair held in Kano. Police say a suspected burglar died after becoming stuck in the chimney of a California home Saturday afternoon when the unsuspecting homeowner lit a fire.

Fresno County Sheriff's Lt. Brandon Pursell said a homeowner in the rural town of Huron heard someone yell after lighting a fire in his fireplace.

Pursell said the homeowner called 911 and also tried to put out the fire as his house began to fill with smoke.

Firefighters who rushed to the chaotic scene used jackhammers to break open the brick chimney in an attempt to rescue the man.

However, the suspected burglar, who was not immediately identified, had died during the attempted rescue.

Pursell said the man was responsive during the rescue and appeared to be breathing and moving inside of the chimney.

According to KFSN, a preliminary investigation showed that the man had climbed into the chimney sometime overnight to burglarize the home when he became stuck.

A day later, the homeowner lit the fire not knowing that anyone was inside the chimney.

The Fresno County coroner removed the man's body from the scene and an autopsy will be conducted Sunday to determine both his identity and cause of death, KFSN reported.

Police say the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Waffle House waitress fatally shot in the head after she asked customer not to smoke

Biloxi police Sgt. Donnie Dobbs said Julie Brightwell, 52, who was an employee of a Waffle house in Biloxi, Miss. was shot in the head after arguing with a customer about smoking inside the restaurant around 1 a.m. Friday because the restaurant had a no smoking policy.
Broghtwell died at Merit Health Biloxi a short time later.
